Tool guide

Organize and Reorder PDF Pages

Change the page order of one PDF by entering the desired sequence. Formatza copies the pages into that exact order and saves a new organized PDF while leaving the original file unchanged.

Steps

How it works

  • Choose one PDF file.
  • Edit the comma-separated page sequence, using ranges where helpful.
  • Include every page exactly once with no duplicates.
  • Organize the PDF and download the new file.

Highlights

Key features

  • Initializes the page order from the PDF's current sequence.
  • Accepts explicit page numbers and ascending ranges.
  • Copies pages into the exact sequence entered.
  • Rejects missing pages and duplicate page numbers.
  • Creates a separate file with an -organized.pdf name.

Use cases

Common uses

  • Move the final page to the beginning of a PDF.
  • Correct pages saved in the wrong sequence.
  • Rearrange document sections before sharing.
  • Restore a known page order in a scanned document.

Notes

Limitations to know

  • Reordering uses a page-order field; drag-and-drop and thumbnail previews are not available.
  • Every original page must appear exactly once, so this tool cannot delete or duplicate pages.
  • Pages are not sorted automatically by text, date, title, or other content.
  • Page rotation, content editing, and importing pages from another PDF are not included.
  • Bookmarks, outlines, page labels, internal links, forms, and metadata may not follow reordered pages perfectly, and digital signatures may become invalid.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

6 answers
Can pages be reordered by dragging thumbnails?

No. Enter the required page sequence in the Page order field.

Can pages also be deleted, duplicated, or rotated?

No. Organize PDF requires each page exactly once and only changes page order.

Can pages from another PDF be inserted?

No. The tool processes one PDF and reorders only its existing pages.

Can I reset the page order?

Changing or clearing the selected file resets the workflow. The initial page sequence is populated when a PDF is loaded.

Are bookmarks and internal links preserved?

They are not guaranteed to follow reordered pages correctly because the tool rebuilds a new document from copied pages.

Is Organize PDF a full PDF editor?

No. It changes page order but does not edit text, images, or other content inside a page.
